Create Dont Contaminate

Hey everyone, so during the week I was looking over some of my older blog posts. And I remembered that it was in late 2018, the last time I uploaded anything, here to my Blogger account. I use to regularly post blogs about what I was up to at the time. To be honest I kinda lost interest with my account. I still post often to my social media accounts, Facebook Photography Page , Twitter & Instagram , been my main outlets, where I share mainly my photography, and other things I find interesting. At times I can and do feel overwhelmed by all of my social media accounts. And I sometimes pressure myself to constantly keep them relevant and updated. But with whats going on in the world, in regards to Covid-19, I think now its more important to keep connected, with friends and family, post photos for people who cant leave the house, and just keep occupied for your mental and physical health.  May it be reading a new book, finishing that project you've

Irish Photographic Federation Audio Visual Championships

So I wanted to challenge myself, to do something new and different. As you all know I love photography, but I also love Videography also. As I check out the IPF(Irish Photographic Federation) website often, I researched what Audio/Visuals(AV) means. The Audio-Visual medium is a great way to tell a story, interpret music, make a documentary, tell about your hobby/interest or anything that captures your imagination, and can hold the attention of both the judges and the audience and get the message across. The IPF AV National Championships takes place in October each year and is usually held in conjunction with the IPF International AV Competition. For my own sequences I used  Pictures2Exe software, which is recognized worldwide. I watched many different tutorials and done hours of research, to try and understand the software as best I could. I only used a small proportion of what the software can achieve. I thought long and hard on what theme and photographs to use, and al

Summer Months

Hey guys, I was reading some of my past blog posts, and I just realized it's been over 3 months since I last posted one. Summer has come and gone so quickly, too quick in fact. To be honest we did get 2/3 weeks of amazing sunshine, so I'm not complaining. So much happened over the past couple of months. As always I've been super busy with my trusty Nikon camera. I took so many new photos, and recorded some new video footage also. In May I finished my Multimedia & Web Development course at  Cavan Institute . It was an amazing 2 years, and to my surprise I received a full 9 distinctions on all my modules, which I was extremely happy with. Onto the next chapter, which in the new year, I'm hoping to start a part time film & Television course in Dublin city...... excited.  I purchased a new Sigma 70-210 macro lens way back at the start of the year also, but I only properly had the chance to test it out during the summer. I'm not gonna lie, macro is somet

May/June2018

Now that I've finished my Multimedia & Web Development Course at  Cavan Institute , I've the summer to work on some video and photography projects I have in mind. It's been a very busy few months, with final assignments, and exams at the end of May. I always gave myself enough time to complete college work. I was very happy to have been successful in the Aca exam, for Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Premiere Pro. An Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) credential certifies that individuals have the skills to plan, design, build and maintain effective communications using different forms of digital media.  At times I might of felt slightly stressed, but everything worked out in the end. So far since I've had free time I've been super busy. On the 19th of May this year I was delighted to receive my Licentiate distinction, with the  Irish Photographic Federation . Applicants put forward a panel of ten prints, which are assessed by a panel of experienced
