Photography Restoration

Photo Restoration   Even before I got into photography, I was always fascinated with the restoration of old worn and damaged photos. I remember when I joined Facebook at first. I joined a few small groups of photography groups. When I saw some of the detailed work that went into a restoration, it really pushed me to say to myself  "This is what I want to do"  I love all styles of photography, from landscapes, night time photography and even photographing old abandoned buildings. There's just something therapeutic I find about restoring pictures. I could sit for hours, and be in a world of my own. The hours really do fly by when your having fun they say. I started trying out some old photos lying around at home, and also some free stock images I found online.  Yes it can be time consuming sometimes. My eyes might be sore from a computer screen, back is aching from slouching over a computer. But it's worth every second in my eyes. These ...

Photoshop and Lightroom Edits

As I have a massive interest in photography, the software and applications I use are just as important as the equipment itself. In my opinion r arely do my photos come out of the camera exactly as I had envisioned. So before uploading to my various social medias, I put my photos through the post processing phase. This is where my raw photos are enhanced, adjusted, toned, and sharpened to give me the final image I wanted to deliver.   The big question is: Photoshop vs Lightroom. I myself have both programs, and use each equally to edit my photography.  Lets start with Photoshop first With Adobe Photoshop, you can quickly and easily import photos into the software. Once impor...

Movie Review

Reprise  There are so many reasons to watch foreign films. I personally love experiencing cinema from another country. Watching a movie in another language can be fascinating and also educational. They are so much more interesting than the same old blockbuster movies that's swamped television and cinema these days. Most of the English movies seem to be repetitive and don't like moving out of the comfort zones. In terms of visual effects and soundtracks they are a cut above the competitors.  One of my all time favourite movies which I find myself watching many times is a Norwegian movie. It centers around Phillip (Anders Danielsen Lie) and Erik (Espen Klouman Høiner) who have been best friends since childhood. Both young men share a passion for the works of reclusive novelist Sten Egil Dahl, and both harbor literary ambitions. However, fate deals differently with the friends as each strives to make his dream come true. It was director Joachi...
